Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Greenslope. They are deliberately short and written for humans. Counsel review is triggered by our first Business-tier customer; if you are that customer and you want a negotiated MSA, email legal@greenslope.io and we'll sit down with you.

Who we are. Greenslope is operated by Essorix Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered office and company number are available on Companies House. In these Terms, “Greenslope”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Essorix Ltd.
Who you are.You are either an individual accepting these Terms on your own behalf, or a person accepting on behalf of a company (“Customer”). If the latter, you confirm you have authority to bind the Customer.
What you’re agreeing to. By signing up for or using Greenslope, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Data Processing Agreement. If you disagree with any of them, don’t use the service.
1. The service
Greenslope ingests OpenTelemetry traces, correlates them with release events, surfaces alerts, and drafts incident summaries. What’s actually available on your plan is defined by the tier you’re on and is documented on the pricing page. The pricing page is the source of truth for included volumes and caps.
2. Plans, trials, and payment
Trial. New customers get a 14-day free trialwith no credit card required. The trial runs at Starter-tier caps. At day 14 we do not auto-charge you. If you don’t convert, your tenant becomes read-only for 7 days, then enters a 30-day data-retention grace period before deletion.
Payment. Paid subscriptions are billed through Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles card processing, invoicing, tax, currency conversion, chargebacks, and refunds. Your separate agreement with Paddle governs those mechanics; our relationship to you is through Paddle.
Currencies and prices.Prices are native per currency (GBP / EUR / USD) and match Paddle checkout exactly. We may change future pricing with 30 days’ notice; your renewal price is fixed for the term you’ve paid.
Refunds.Handled through Paddle under their terms. If a refund is warranted and Paddle can’t process it for any reason, contact us.
3. Acceptable use
You must notattempt to reverse-engineer or circumvent the service, abuse the signup or trial system (one trial per email domain), upload unlawful content, use Greenslope to facilitate unlawful activity, exceed your tier’s caps in a way designed to avoid upgrading, or interfere with other customers.
We reserve the rightto suspend access for acceptable-use violations. We’ll explain why and give you a chance to fix it if the issue is ambiguous. Clear-cut abuse gets immediate suspension.
4. Your data, your rights
You own your data. Ingested traces, logs metadata, and account data belong to you. We process it on your behalf; you can export it in a documented format at any time.
We act as data controller for account / billing data (email, payment record via Paddle, audit log) and as data processor for ingested telemetry. See the Privacy Policy and DPA.
Retention. Hot span retention is 24 hours (Solo) / 48 hours (Starter); warm archive is 30 days on both tiers; aggregates are retained for 3 months. On cancellation, a 30-day data-retention grace period applies before permanent deletion.
5. Our data, your promises
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Greenslope during your subscription. You do not acquire ownership of any Greenslope software, models, or documentation.
Anonymous, aggregated, non-identifying operational metrics (e.g. total spans ingested across the fleet) may be used to improve the service. We do not use customer telemetry to train third-party LLMs; see the Security page.
6. Service availability
We target best-effort high availability and publish post-mortems for every Sev-1 / Sev-2 incident. V1 Greenslope does not include a contractual SLA with service credits — that is available on Enterprise terms (V2+). Incidents are communicated via email to affected tenants, the support@greenslope.io mailbox, and a post-resolution blog post; a public status page is on the near-term roadmap.
7. Support
Support is provided by email at support@greenslope.io with a first-response target of 3 UK working days. No committed resolution times; we’ll communicate progress but won’t promise deadlines we can’t keep. “Working days” means Monday to Friday, excluding England & Wales public holidays.
8. Suspension, termination, and effect
Either party may terminate the subscription for any reason at the end of a billing period by cancelling through Paddle. We may terminate immediately for material breach of these Terms (including acceptable-use violations) or for non-payment after 30 days.
On termination your tenant enters the 30-day data-retention grace period. You can reactivate during that window without data loss. After 30 days, data is permanently deleted.
9. Warranties and disclaimers
We provide Greenslope as-is. Greenslope is a reliability tool, not a replacement for your own judgement. Recommendations (rollback suggestions, SLO proposals, triage summaries) are inputs to your decisions; you make the call.
Except as required by law, we disclaim all implied warranties (merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement beyond the explicit commitments in these Terms).
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Each party’s aggregate liability under these Terms is capped at the fees you’ve paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that can’t be excluded under UK law.
11. Indemnity
You’ll defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your use of Greenslope in breach of these Terms, unlawful content you upload, or your infringement of a third party’s rights. We’ll defend and indemnify you against claims that the Greenslope service (as provided by us and used in accordance with these Terms) infringes a third party’s IP rights, up to the liability cap above.
12. Changes to the service and these Terms
We may change the service — that’s how it improves. Material changes that degrade your use (removing features you rely on, shortening retention on your plan) get at least 30 days’ notice.
We may update these Terms. We’ll email the account owner for material changes. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new Terms; if you don’t, cancel before then.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, except where your local consumer-law rights give you another forum.

These Terms are a V1 template, clearly caveated. They will be revised after counsel review, triggered by our first Business-adjacent customer engagement. If you are that customer, we’ll negotiate a version that works for both of us.
